The following is the occurrence summary for February 8 – 16.

On February 13 at 10:00 p.m. Corman Park Police were in the drive-thru of the Martensville McDonald’s restaurant when they were alerted to a possible drunk driver in the line ahead of them. A Nissan Titan truck was pointed out to the officer, who pulled out and followed the vehicle onto Centennial Blvd. While driving northbound on Centennial the vehicle was observed swerving within its lane. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, a 33-year-old male resident of Martensville, who advised that he had not been drinking. The man was read a breath demand and he provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device, which registered a FAIL. The man was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Martensville RCMP Detachment where he provided two breath samples of 140 mgs%. The man was held in custody for a short period of time and released on charges of impaired driving. His licence was suspended and his vehicle was impounded.

On February 14 at 2:20 a.m. Corman Park Police observed a white Ford F-150 westbound on Grasswood Road, west of Highway 11. The vehicle was observed having trouble staying within its lane and its speed was fluctuating. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, a 28-year-old male resident of Corman Park. The driver displayed physical symptoms of impairment by alcohol consumption including the odour of alcohol on his breath. He was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Saskatoon RCMP Detachment for the purpose of obtaining breath samples. The man provided samples at 190 and 180 mgs%, more than double the legal limit. His vehicle was impounded, his licence suspended and he was given a court date for charges of impaired driving. He was also given a ticket for having open alcohol in a vehicle. He spent some time in custody before being released the following morning.

On February 16 at 1:50 a.m. Corman Park Police observed an orange Jeep Patriot on Highway 11 at Township Road 382. The vehicle was having difficulty maintaining its lane and was stopped by police.  Upon approaching the vehicle police observed opened alcoholic beverage containers in the cup holder in the center console and multiple people in the vehicle. The driver, a 29-year-old female resident of Duck Lake, was asked about alcohol consumption. She displayed symptoms of recent consumption and was read a breath demand. She provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device, the result of which was a WARN. A six pack of beer was located in the rear seat of the vehicle. The driver was issued a 72 hour licence suspension and three tickets for having open alcohol in a vehicle were issued to the occupants. The vehicle was impounded.
