The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has declared the COVID 19 outbreak at Rosthern Hospital Inpatient Unit as over effective February 8th. The outbreak was declared on January 22nd after positive cases were confirmed at the facility.
The hospital will again begin accepting new admissions and level 2 family presence visitor restrictions will be in place, in which all patients/residents can designate one essential family/support person(s) to provide in-person support for care and/or quality of life needs.
The decision to restrict family presence is not taken lightly. These measures are in place to keep you, your loved ones, and health care workers safe. The Saskatchewan Health Authority is asking the public for their support and cooperation in order to contain the spread of the virus.
No other visitors are allowed into the specified facilities or homes at this time and these limitations will remain in place until it is safe to return to the previous level of family presence.
