The City of Saskatoon issued a water restriction advisory on Thursday, December 24 but it doesn’t affect the City of Warman.

A large amount of sand has entered Saskatoon’s water treatment plant and hampered the filtration system.

According to City of Warman Mayor Gary Philipchuk, there is two days worth of water in the city’s water reservoir. Since the problem at the water treatment plant in Saskatoon is expected to be  resolved by the end of Thursday, Warman doesn’t have to worry about water restrictions

If there is any new development to the situation and Warman residents are required to moniter water use, the City of Warman will let the public know and post a statement on its website and social media pages.
