A serious two-vehicle collision on Highway 12 south of Hepburn during the evening of Tuesday, December 15 resulted in one death.
Initial investigation has revealed that the southbound vehicle had three occupants and the northbound vehicle had two occupants.
The 56-year-old male driver of the southbound car was pronounced deceased on scene.
All other occupants of the vehicles were transported to hospital for what were reported to be non-life threatening injuries.
The highway was closed in both directions overnight, as traffic was re-outed while police investigated the cause of the collision.
The highway was re-opened at about 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, according to Rosthern RCMP.
Hepburn Fire Department and Waldheim Fire Department, along with STARS air ambulance, Medavie Ambulance and police responded to the incident.
The investigation is still ongoing.
