Three more schools in the Prairie Spirit School Division (PSSD) have confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In a news release issued November 22, PSSD officials said they were made aware of the cases by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA).
“Over the past few days, the Saskatchewan Health Authority has informed Prairie Spirit of a case of COVID-19 in an individual at: Stobart Community School in Duck Lake; Valley Manor Elementary School in Martensville; and South Corman Park School in the RM of Corman Park south of Saskatoon.
The PSSD news release said the school communities have been informed, and the school division is unable to disclose further information due to privacy concerns.
“We are working closely with Public Health staff to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff,” stated the PSSD news release. “We all have a shared responsibility to decrease the risk of COVID-19 entering schools. Our school plans contain many important measures, processes and protocols which add layers of protection for students and staff.
“Students and families are reminded to be diligent in performing the daily health screening, stay home if ill, call HealthLine 811 if exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, practice proper hand hygiene, maintain physical distancing as much as possible, wear a mask when appropriate, and do everything we can to keep each other safe.”
