Aaron Bradford

Aaron Bradford’s roots run deep in Corman Park’s Division 1.

His grandfather had a cattle ranch in the Sutherland area east of Saskatoon, and as a youngster he lived near Clavet and later in South Corman Park. He lived in Langham and Dalmeny before returning to his home area a few years ago.

Bradford, who is also a certified journeyman plumber and gasfitter,  now raises elk at his family farm.

He said he’s taking a run at a council seat in order to bring a fresh perspective to the Corman Park decision-making table.

He noted many people have complained about what they feel are excessive restrictions when it comes to building and land use.

“I’d like to make Corman Park a little easier to deal with,” he said. “I don’t like to be the guy who complains without trying to fix the situation. I’d like to raise the reputation of Corman Park.”

Bradford said Corman Park’s proximity to Saskatoon likely influences the amount of regulation.

“I’m not against bylaws and planning,” he said. “But they have to serve the people. I want to be open to constituents and represent them at council. I won’t just be going in with my own ideas. I’ll strive to get opinions and feedback from ratepayers and find out what they want addressed. Council  and administration should be serving the taxpayers.”
