Warman’s Luke Reid was drafted in the sixth round, 166 overall, by the Nashville Predators during the recent 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
Reid played initiation to U15 (bantam) in Warman and his family still lives in the community.
He played as an underager with the AAA midget Battleford Stars then went on to play for the Penticton Vees of the BCHL for the 2017-18 season.
He has played the last two seasons for the Chicago Steel in the USHL and has represented both Canada and the United States in international competition.
Reid will begin playing for the University of New Hampshire in the NCAA Division I league this season.
