The Clark’s Crossing Gazette won four Saskatchewan Weekly Newspaper Association (SWNA) awards in the 2026 Better Newspapers Competition.
The awards were announced at the SWNA annual general meeting on Tuesday, May 12.
The Gazette won second place for both Best Overalll Paper and Best Front Page in the Class D – Circulation over 6,500.
Gazette reporter/photographer Terry Pugh took first place for Best Hard News photo, with a front-page shot of a large structure fire on an acreage in February, 2025.
Gazette reporter/photographer Kevin Berger won third place in the Best Government Coverage category for his story on Corman Park residents’ efforts to have Blumenheim Road repaired. The story apperaed on the front page of the October 2, 2025 edition of the Gazette.
The Gazette has won a total of 135 SWNA awards since 2010, including winning Best Overall Newspaper and Best Front page in 2011 and 2025.
Pugh has won a total of 55 SWNA awards over the past 16 years, including 19 first place awards for reporting and photography.
The Clark’s Crossing Gazette was founded in 2018 and continues to provide award-winning coverage for Warman, Martensville, Corman Park and surrounding communities.
