The team of Melissa Remeshylo and Dylan Derksen of the Martensville Curling Club, coached by Scott Remeshylo, won the provincial U20 Mixed Doubles championship in North Battleford March 12-15. They will go on to represent Saskatchewan at the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Québec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027. This will be the 60th anniversary of the inaugural 1967 Games. The team of Remeshylo and Derksen also had a strong showing at the Provincial Mixed Doubles championship in Nipawin February 5-8, where they went head-to-head against the top mixed doubles teams in the province and placed second overall. Remeshylo-Derksen were tied for first place in the standings after round-robin play at that event, matching the record of Steve Laycock and Nancy Martin of the Nutana Curling Club. The final game fin Nipawin featured Remeshylo-Derksen taking on Martin-Laycock, with Martin-Laycock winning 9-6 in an extra end.
