Saskatchewan RCMP continues to receive reports of scam text messages, including recent clusters of reports in the Prince Albert area and other communities.
The messages claim that recipients have an outstanding traffic citation, and direct individuals to click a link and submit payment online, falsely identifying the sender as the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan.
Officers have noted the messages originated from a phone number using a “+44” area code. Please note that these messages are not legitimate. Saskatchewan RCMP advise the public not to click on any links provided in these messages and not to send payment or personal information.

The RCMP encourages the public to take the following steps if they receive text messages from a scammer:
- Don’t text the scammer back.
- Block their phone number immediately.
- Don’t send them any money or gift cards.
- Keep records of the texts.
