Martensville hosted the Saskatchewan Slow-Pitch National (SPN) Men’s and Women’s Slo-pitch championships at Kinsmen Park last weekend, where the weather was hot, the competition was hotter, and the team uniforms were as loud as the crowd. The Raiders captured the Women’s Championship with a hard-fought win over the runners-up Fireball. On the Men’s side, the Men’s Comp champions were the Bombsquad, while the Kokanee Rangers placed second. In the Men’s Intermediate division, the Brewdogs took top spot with a win over the second-place Warning Track Power in the final. In the Men’s Rec division, first place went to Jump the Up, with the Black Aces finishing second.
