Team Prairie Central competed in curling at the Saskatchewan Winter Games in Meadow Lake from February 16-18. The team, consisting of Carter Grindheim (Martensville), Kade Comfort (Wadena), Andrew Ferguson (Saskatoon), Nolan Steckler (Warman) and Coach Michael Steckler, won the gold medal against team Lakeland, who also had a local curler Rylan Shutra (Dalmeny) playing for them.

The team went undefeated in the double knockout bonspiel, which consisted of teams from seven regions. On their way to the championship they beat the Saskatoon and Lakeland regions, before winning against the Lakeland region again, with a score of 5-2 in the final. The Prairie Central boys team had qualified for the Saskatchewan Winter Games in early January, winning a playoff in Wadena.
