The Town of Dalmeny is looking to fill a vacancy at the council table.

The nomination period for a town councillor byelection is set to begin Thursday, January 22. The nomination deadline is Tuesday, February 10.

The byelection is set for March 18, 2026.

The byelection was triggered by the resignation of Town Councillor Eric Desnoyers in October, 2025. The council seat has been vacant since the resignation.

Desnoyers was elected to council in the municipal general election in November, 2024.

The councillor elected in the upcoming byelection will serve the remainder of the term until the next scheduled municipal general election in November, 2028.

Dalmeny Town Council currently includes: Mayor Jon Kroeker and Councillors Matt Bradley, Ed Slack, Aaron Peters, Anna-Marie Zoller and Amy McNeil.
