Emily Hand performs at the Station Arts Centre in Rosthern during the annual tree-lighting event on Thursday, December 4. While the tree-lighting took place along Main Street, the Station Arts Centre opened its doors to visitors who wanted to enjoy some musical entertainment and take a selfie in front of a Christmas-y backdrop.

It took a couple of tries, but the big tree next to the Rosthern Library eventually lit up the night.

The warm weather allowed a big crowd to gather on Main Street for the tree lighting.

A collection of “Colour Theory Quilts” created by the Grade 12 students at Rosthern Community School was on display along Main Street. These quilts were made over a period of three months and were meant as a showcase of the talents in the Home Economics program at RCS.
