On November 8 at 11:05 p.m., DOCC dispatched a 911 call of a possible impaired driver west bound on Highway 16 near Elstow. The 911 call indicated the vehicle had almost caused a head on collision. Corman Park Police Service (CPPS) intercepted the vehicle on Highway 16 and noticed the driver displayed signs of alcohol impairment. The driver failed a roadside breath sample and was subsequently arrested and transported to the Saskatoon RCMP detachment where samples of 150 mgs% x2 were taken. The driver was released from custody charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and impaired operation of a conveyance over 80 mgs%.

On November 9 at 10:55 p.m., DOCC dispatched a call of a residential alarm at a residence on Range Road (RR)3061. CPPS attended and found the property to be secure with no signs of forced entry.

On November 10 at 8:30 p.m., CPPS received a call of a found donkey. CPPS attended and learned the donkey had escaped from a neighbouring property. CPPS was able to walk the donkey back to its property where the donkey was placed back in its corral.

On November 11 at 3:08 p.m., CPPS received a complaint of a single vehicle rollover with entrapment at Highway 11 and Township Road (TWP) 350. CPPS, RCMP, the Saskatoon Fire Department, and Medavie Health Services West attended. No injuries were reported.

On November 11 at 11:16 p.m., CPPS observed a vehicle travelling at 159 kilometers/hour in a 90 kilometers/hour zone on Highway 16 east of Zimmerman Road. CPPS conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver was read the mandatory approved screening device demand providing a breath sample resulting in an ALERT. The driver was subsequently issued an 11-day driver’s license suspension as well as a 33-day vehicle impound.

On November 13 at 12:15 p.m., CPPS was participating in an interagency impaired driving checkstop focusing on commercial vehicles at the Langham Weigh Scales on Highway 16. A tractor trailer unit was stopped where CPPS observed both unstamped tobacco and an open tin of beer. The driver provided two samples of breath into a roadside screening device resulting in readings of 41 mgs% and 44 mgs%. The driver subsequently had his driver’s license suspended for three days and his vehicle impounded for three days. The driver also was charged with having open alcohol in a motor vehicle.

On November 13 at 11:55 p.m., DOCC dispatched a call of a deer vs car collision on Highway 219 near Beaver Creek. CPPS attended and found a vehicle with front end damage. The vehicle was not driveable and was towed from the scene. The driver was uninjured.
