On October 22 at 5:29 p.m., (Corman Park Police Service) CPPS responded to a report two-vehicle collision on Highway 11 south of Floral Road. CPPS and RCMP attended where the driver of one of the vehicles was found asleep behind the wheel. The driver displayed signs of drug impairment and submitted to an oral fluid sample, resulting in a positive for THC (cannabis). The driver was also found to have a no-contact condition with the passenger of the vehicle. The driver is facing charges of Impaired Operation of a Conveyance, Failing to comply with a condition of a Release Order, and resisting arrest.
On October 24 at 12:45 a.m., DOCC dispatched multiple 911 calls of a person laying along Highway 7 near the CNR overpass. CPPS attended and arrested a female for being intoxicated in public. The female was transported to Saskatoon RCMP cells where she was lodged until sober.
On October 24 at 10:00 p.m., CPPS stopped a vehicle on Dalmeny Road near Highway 305. The driver was found to be a suspended driver and also had warrants out of the Warman RCMP. The driver was arrested and subsequently released to attend Saskatoon Provincial Court. The driver also had their vehicle impounded for 30 days.
On October 26 at approximately 12:50 a.m., CPPS stopped a vehicle for speeding on Idylwyld Drive near 71st Street in Saskatoon. The driver displayed signs of alcohol impairment. The driver submitted to a roadside breath test, resulting in a fail. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Martensville RCMP detachment where he refused to provide a breath sample. The driver has been charged with impaired operation of a conveyance, refusing to comply with a demand made by a peace officer, and dangerous operation of a conveyance. The driver was subsequently released with a date to attend Saskatoon Provincial Court.
On October 27 at 11:07 a.m., CPPS received an automated license plate reader notification while traveling on Highway 5 near Range Road (RR) 3043 advising the registered owner of a vehicle had a warrant. CPPS performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and arrested the registered owner, who was found to be wanted out of Saskatoon Police Service. The driver was subsequently released to attend to Saskatoon Provincial Court as well as the Saskatoon Police Service for fingerprints and photograph.
On October 28 at 7:00 p.m., CPPS received a call about a suspicious male walking in Rivers Edge Estates. CPPS attended and located a male, who was attempting to walk to Warman. The male was given a courtesy ride to an address in Saskatoon at his request.
