On August 16, at 2:20 a.m., DOCC aired a call for service regarding a robbery involving bear spray at the Warman Hotel at South Railway Avenue and 8th Ave. Information from the complainant stated that the suspect was being physically restrained on the ground by bystanders. Corman Park Police Service (CPPS) arrived on scene and located the suspect on the north side of the building in the back alley. The suspect was arrested for robbery and assault with a weapon. He was subsequently transported to Saskatoon RCMP cells for lodging.
On July 24 around 4:58 p.m., CPPS received a call about a female and two males drinking and smoking cannabis at the Chief Whitecap Dog park in a vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted on Saskatchewan Cres. The driver provided a sample of breath into an ASD with a result of a WRN. The vehicle and his licence were taken for 30 days due to there being a child in the back seat.
On July 27 at 11:04 p.m., a CPPS officer did arrest a male on an outstanding warrant out of Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) for breach of probation after locating him walking in the driving lane of Highway 219. At the direction of SPS, he was released on an Undertaking to attend Saskatoon Provincial Court in August to answer to the charge.
On July 28, at 3:46 p.m., CPPS attended a grass fire near Range Road (RR) 3063 and Township Road (TWP) 360. The owner was utilizing a baler on the property when it sparked up. He attempted to extinguish it with his fire extinguisher but was unsuccessful. The baler was a loss, but the rest of the damage was limited to grass and bales. Saskatoon FD was able to knock down the fire without any structures being affected.
On July 26 at 11:30 p.m., CPPS did arrest a male on warrants out of the Battleford RCMP for Fail To Comply with his probation order. CPPS and Warman RCMP were dispatched to a broken down vehicle on Highway 16 and RR 3075, where several intoxicated people were located in and around vehicle. At the direction of Battleford RCMP, the suspect was released on an Undertaking to attend North Battleford Provincial Court in September to answer to the charge
On July 29, at 4:23 p.m., CPPS attempted to conduct a traffic stop on TWP 382 between RR 3053 and Highway 12. The subject vehicle was witnessed entering the Highway 12 service road at what appeared to be a high rate of speed as it made the turn. At one point while the vehicle was travelling southbound on the service road, the subject vehicle appeared on radar travelling at speeds over 100km/hr prior to entering a compound, appearing to evade police. A brief search of the compound was conducted before the vehicle was located parked on the north fence line. Eventually, an employee approached police and stated he drove the vehicle in. The driver was arrested for flight and subsequently released from custody with no criminal charges.
On July 28 at 5:50 p.m., CPPS received a call about a dirt bike that is continuously driving past a residence on Tamke Road in Corman Park. Theh complainant stated that the dirt bike is loud and doing stunts in the ditch/road. CPPS identified the driver, talked with the father and informed him of the possible penalties.
On August 1 at approximately 10:00 a.m., while working a checkstop at the intersection of Highway 60 and Valley Road, CPPS stopped a white Dodge Ram. The driver admitted to alcohol consumption and was read the approved screening device demand, providing two samples of breath into two separate approved screening devices, both resulting in readings of WARN. He subsequently had his vehicle impounded for three days and drivers licenses suspended for three days.
On August 16, at 11:47 p.m., CPPS attempted a traffic stop on a black Ford F150 on Highway 16 between Boychuk Dr and Zimmerman Road for excessive speed. The subject vehicle failed to stop and continued out of Saskatoon city limits eastbound on Highway 16. The vehicle eventually turned around and CPPS was able to re-acquire the vehicle on TWP 360 just east of Highway 16. CPPS attempted a traffic stop on the subject vehicle but it accelerated again at a high rate of speed toward Highway 16 where it turned back toward Saskatoon. CPPS notified Saskatoon PS who were able to successfully deploy a tire deflation device on Circle Drive just east of Preston Avenue. The subject vehicle eventually came to a stop on Eastview at Arlington Ave and occupants attempted to flee on foot. CPPS apprehended one passenger a short distance from the vehicle. Another passenger was apprehended a short distance further by SPS. SPS took custody of both apprehended subjects
