Caybri Letkeman of the Crown Hill 4-H Beef Club won the Reserve Grand Champion Steer award at the 2025 Prairieland Junior Ag Showcase in Saskatoon July 7.
The Grand Champion steer award was presented to Calder Jones of the Viscount 4-H Beef Club.
The awards were presented as the 2025 Prairieland Junior Ag Showcase wrapped up another successful year, bringing together more than 200 participants and spectators for five days of agriculture, education, and celebration at the Prairieland Ag Center.
The event was a proud moment for 4-H members from across Saskatchewan’s North West region, as they competed and showcased their talents in a variety of categories. This year’s competitions included Light Horse, Sheep, Beef Female, Team Grooming, Showmanship, and Finished Beef.
Beyond the ring, the Showcase of Arts gave youth the opportunity to express their creativity through visual art, photography, and crafts — a highlight that continues to grow each year.
The Showcase concluded with the always-anticipated 4-H Steer Sale, which drew great interest and enthusiasm from buyers and supporters.
The Prairieland Junior Ag Showcase remains a meaningful platform to celebrate the dedication, skill, and achievement of 4-H members, while also recognizing their commitment to agriculture and rural life. Prairieland is proud to support the next generation of agricultural leaders through events like this.
