On May 24 at 11:00 p.m., DOCC broadcast a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the Floral Industrial Park area. DOCC advised that the caller stated there was a dark blue GMC or Chev Diesel truck scoping out acreages off Highway 16 and Floral Road. The caller confronted the vehicle occupants, who fled eastbound at a high rate of speed into the Floral Industrial Park, where DOCC advised the caller to stop chasing the suspect vehicle. Police attended to the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
On May 24 at 1:27 a.m., Corman Park Police Service (CPPS) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle parked in the driving lane on Valley Road near Township Road 362-A. Unstamped tobacco was observed in plain view and the vehicle was searched. A total of 1.2 ounces of crack cocaine, $295.00 in cash, two scales, and package of dime bags were found in the vehicle and seized. Two persons were arrested for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. Crown review has recommended charges and warrants for arrest will be issued.
On June 6 at approximately 10:10 p.m., CPPS was working an impaired driving check stop at the intersection of Dalmeny Road and Auction Mart Road, when officers observed a white Dodge Ram 1500, in which the driver admitted to consuming alcohol during the evening. The driver provided a breath sample into an approved screening device, the result of the sample was a “Fail. The driver was arrested and transported to Martensville RCMP, where she provided two breath samples, the results of which were 150mg% and 140mg%. The driver was charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and operating a conveyance while exceeding 80mg%. She was released on an appearance notice to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court in July.
On June 6 at 1:45 p.m., police executed a traffic stop on a stolen white Ford Focus after locating the vehicle on Highway 219 near Cartwright Street. The driver was arrested for Possession over $5000. During the course of the investigation the driver was found to be operating under the influence of crystal meth after performing poorly on a Field Sobriety Test. Police recovered a small quantity of crystal meth and a pipe from the vehicle. The driver was transported to the Saskatoon RCMP Detachment where he was released later that night, once sober, on an Appearance Notice to attend Saskatoon Provincial Court in July. His driver’s licence was suspended.
On June 3, RCMP DOCC put out a call for service regarding a suicidal male who was last seen on Range Road 3064 north of Township Road 390. Warman RCMP, Dalmeny Police and CPPS members attended and patrolled the area. CPPS deployed a drone to search the area and found him approximately one kilometer north of Township Road 390, with the deployed drone. Members on scene were able to locate him, after which he was transported to Royal University Hospital to be admitted for further evaluation.
