Martensville City Council chose its representatives to 13 boards and committees at a meeting on Tuesday, January 21.
Mayor Kent Muench is on eight of those committees, including: the Opimihaw Creek committee, P4G Regional Executive Committee, P4G Regional Oversight Committee, the P4G District Planning Commission (as an alternate), Truth and Reconciliation committee, Beautification committee, Naming Committee, and Police Advisory Board.
Councillor Brad Blixt is the council representative on the Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce board. He is also on the P4G District Planning Commission, the P4G Regional Oversight Committee (as an alternate), and the Saskatchewan Regional Economic Development Authority.
Councillor Tracy Cocks is on the Beautification Committee, the Police Advisory Board, and Truth and Reconciliation Committee.
Councillor Krista McCann is on the Beautification Committee, the Library Board (as an alternate), and the Police Advisory Board.
Councillor Spencer Nikkel is on the P4G District Planning Commission and P4G Regional Oversight Committee.
Councillor Katharine Carter is council’s representative on the Martensville Free Pantry. She is also on the Library Board and the Truth and Reconciliation Committee.
Councillor Darren MacDonald is council’s rep on the Martensville Community Recreation Project and the Naming Committee.
City Council also appointed Jim Johnston to the P4G District Planning Commission as the representative of the public, on behalf of the City of Martensville, at their January 21. Johnston was appointed for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2025.
