The quest to advance to high school volleyball provincials began this past weekend.
Canwood hosted the 2A North Region Conference Three tournament, with Langham, Hepburn, Rosthern Community school (RCS), Big River and Debden. After pool play Langham, Big River, RCS and Hepburn advanced to the playoff round. Langham defeated Big River 25-9, 25-7 in their semi-final game. RCS advanced with a 25-18, 25-10 win over Hepburn. In the championship game, Langham defeated RCS 25-14, 25-9.
The 3A Girls conference play was Saturday, November 2. The top two teams in each conference tournament advanced to Regionals on November 8 and 9 with Provincials scheduled for November 15 and 16.
Waldheim hosted the West Region Conference Two tournament with Dalmeny, Hague, RJC, Osler VCA and Stobart. After a highly competitive pool round Waldheim, Hague, Osler VCA and Dalmeny advanced to the playoffs. Waldheim had a 25-10, 16-25, 15-4 win over Hague in the semi-finals. Osler VCA defeated Dalmeny 26-24, 25-17. Waldheim took the title with a 26-24, 25-17 win over Osler VCA.

Clavet competed in the North Region Conference Three tournament hosted by Lanigan. They had a 2-2 record with wins over Punnichy (25-9, 21-25, 16-14) and Hanley (25-17, 27-29, 15-8). Lanigan took the conference title with a 4-0 record, Watrous was second with a 3-1 record.
Delisle finished second in the West Region Conference Three tournament hosted by Rosetown with wins over Outlook (25-19, 25-22), Rosetown (25-15, 25-18) and Biggar (25-14,25-17). Their only loss was to the champion 4-0 Unity squad.
Delisle will host the 3A Girls Regional tournament on Saturday, November 9 with Waldheim, Osler VCA, Makwa, Unity and Maidstone competing.
4-5A Girls Regionals will be held November 9 with Provincials scheduled for November 15 and 16. The 4A girls West Region tournament will be hosted by NB John Paul II with Martensville, Humboldt, PACI, Meadow Lake, Saskoskohc and Kindersley. The 5A North Region tournament will be hosted by NB Comp with Warman, Lloydminster, PA Carlton, and PA St.Mary.

1-3A Boys: Conferences will be November 9 with Regionals November 15 and 16, and Provincials November 22 and 23.
Hepburn and Langham will be playing in 2A Boys East Region Conference One tournament at Kinistino including Pelican Lake and Sturgeon Lake.
Osler VCA is hosting the North Region Conference One tournament with RJC, Senator Allan Bird, Senator Myles Verne and Bernard Constant.
Dalmeny is hosting the North Region Conference Two tournament with Spiritwood, Waldheim, and Minahik.
Clavet is hosting the West Region Conference Two tournament with Delisle, Biggar and Outlook.
4A Boys Regionals will be November 15 and 16 with Provincials on November 22 and 23. The 4A West Region tournament will be at Martensville with NB John Paul II, LaLoche, Sakasohc, Meadow Lake and Kindersley.
5A Boys: Regionals will be held on November 9 with Provincials on November 15 and 16. The 5A Boys Region tournament will be at Lloydminster with Warman, NB Comp, PA Carlton and PA St.Mary.
