Corman Park Police Chief Ron Chomyn presents retired CPPS Constable Fred Wesolowski with his Police ExemplaryService medal on Friday, October 5, 2023, on behalf of the Attorney General of Canada

Constable Fred Wesolowski (Retired) was presented the Police Exemplary Service medal for 20 years of service on October 5, 2023, in front of a full RM of Corman Park council chamber of family, friends and colleagues. He served the residents of Corman Park from 1986 – 2006 and was very involved in community service during and after his retirement.

On October 3 at 7:24 p.m., Corman Park Police responded to a complaint of a disabled vehicle on Highway 11 north, which was partially in the left lane of travel, causing a safety risk. A single male was with a Ford F250 truck as police arrived. A CPIC check of the plate revealed the vehicle was stolen out of Humboldt with a male associated to the vehicle being armed, possibly with a sawed off shotgun. The male was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the RCMP for processing. No weapons were found, and the vehicle was seized.

On October 3 at 8:45 p.m., DOCC dispatched a call for a motor vehicle collision involving a car vs moose. Police attended and found the driver was not injured,. However, the car was not driveable. The moose was deceased and removed from the highway. The vehicle was towed and the owner was instructed to report to SGI.

On October 2, at approximately 8:20 p.m., DOCC aired out a Report Impaired Drivers (RID) complaint on Highway 219 northbound from Whitecap on a white Pontiac G5. CPPS conducted patrols for the subject vehicle but were unable to locate.

On October 8, CPPS conducted a joint forces operation (JFO) with Saskatoon Police Service and RCMP Traffic Units on Valley Road near Township Road 362-A, focused on speeding and Vehicle Equipment Regulation issues. The operation resulted in 22 citations, 21 Vehicle Inspections and 20 warnings being issued as well as a cannabis suspension and impound and one suspended driver.
