After hosting a successful U23 Men’s Nationals, the Saskatoon Amateur Softball Association (SASA) is right back at it, welcoming 24 teams to its 29th annual championship tournament.
SASA is hosting the 2023 Softball Canada U17 Girls’ Fast Pitch Championship.
This event includes 24 teams, featuring the best female U17 softball players in Canada.
The action takes place at Bob Van Impe (BVI) Stadium and Joe Gallagher Fastball Field as well as Glenn Reeve diamonds 3 and 4.
The first game begins Wednesday, August 9 at 9:00 AM at Bob Van Impe Stadium, with the final taking place on Sunday at 2:30 PM also at BVI.

Opening Ceremonies are Wednesday August 9 at 6 p.m.
Award ceremonies, where the preliminary round Allstar Team and award winners are announced, will take place Saturday August 12 at 1:15 p.m..

The Saskatoon Lasers finished second to Moose Jaw in Softball Sask Provincials. The Lasers will play most evenings at 6:30 at BVI. The British Columbia teams will be favorites as BC squads have won the last ten U17 Girl’s National Championships.
