The Sask Five U13AAA Giants won the provincial baseball championship last weekend in Saskatoon, cruising undefeated through the round robin and playoff rounds. The team beat the Saskatoon Blue Jays 22-7 on August 4; the Swift Current 57s 15-4 and the Moose Jaw Black Canucks 7-6 on August 5; the Regina White Sox 12-1 in the semi-final on August 6; and the Saskatoon Cardinals 13-9 in the championship final on August 6.
