The 2023 softball season for Twin City Angels teams has been off to a great start.
Our U15 AA team and U15 Provincial Team have a good chance at winning a provincial championship this year so we are pretty excited!!
This year, the Twin City Angels (TCA) Softball program has 13 teams, six in U13, six in U15, and one in U17. Warman Minor Softball Association has 37 teams this year in U5 – U11. Both programs have seen increases in registrations for the 2023 season.
Twelve TCA teams are competing in the Saskatoon Minor Softball League, which wraps up June 23-29 and one team competed in the Softball Saskatchewan Grand Slam League, which consisted of three weekend tournaments against teams from around the province.
Many teams have competed in other tournaments in the province throughout the season and are having a successful season and loads of fun.
The Twin City Angels U15AA team won Gold at the Shaye Amundson Memorial Tournament in Prince Albert on June 2-4 and also won Gold at the Saskatoon Minor Softball League Presidents Tournament in Saskatoon May 26-28.
The TCA U15 Provincial Team (Gold) and TCA U15 Obrigewitch (Silver) at the U15 B SMSL Raiders Tournament on May 12-14. This tournament featured three TCA teams in the top four spots, TCA U15 Kirk finished in 4th place. TCA U15 Provincial Team won Gold at the Moose Jaw AW/B Tournament on May 27-29.
The TCA U11 Provincial Team won Bronze in the St. Albert Tournament.
Twelve teams will be attending Provincials Championships in their respective divisions.
* U11 Open – July 7-9 in Battleford;
* U13 A – July 14 – 16 in Regina;
* U13 B – July 7-9 in Saskatoon;
* U15 B – July 21 – 23 in Warman;
* U15 AA – July 14-15 in Moose Jaw;
* U17 B – July 21 – 23 in Rosetown;
Warman is set to host the U15 B Provincial Championships on July 21-23 at Prairie Oasis Park. This is the first time since 2019 that Warman has been host to a Provincial Championship. This event will feature 29 teams and will provide some fast-paced softball action! Make sure to come out and cheer on the four TCA teams that will be vying for the provincial title this year!
