Players on the 16U Central Valley Sting go high to form a block during pool play at the Warman Home Centre Communiplex on Saturday, April 15

Sask Volleyball provincial playoffs are in full swing, with games being played at the Warman Home Centre Communiplex,  Saskatoon Henk Ruys Soccer Centre and SaskTel Sports Centre on weekends from April 14-30.

Warman hosted the 16U Men and 16U Women Div 1 on  April 15-16.

The Central Valley Sting competed in 16U Men Tier 1 play. They started by winning a pair of three set matches. Against the Carnduff Tigers the home team came away with the win, rallying from a close 26-28 loss to win 25-17 and 15-11 in the next two games. They kept their momentum up against the RVC White team, winning game one 25-14. After losing game two 23-25 they took the deciding game 15-10.

In their final pool game the squad battled hard before losing 22-25 and 24-26 to RVC Green team. In the playoff round they lost to Huskie Premier 25-18, 25-19 and Rouleau Rebels 25-20, 25-19.

In U16 Men Tier II the Central Valley Black battled hard throughout. Despite being winless they had some exciting matches. One of their final  matches was a thriller against Battleford Power 15-25, 25-19, 9-15.

The Central Valley 13U Women Aces and Venom competed at the Henk Ruys Soccer Centre. The Venom finished in 10th place, while the Aces finished in 14th place.

The 16U Women Stingers and Venom competed at the Sasktel Sports Centre. The Stingers finished in third place in the D2T2 division.
