The Warman Rush U10 Lacrosse team travelled to the Annual 10U Mother’s Day Classic Tournament in Regina the weekend of May 7 & 8, 2022. All games were played in the Al Ritchie Arena. The Warman Rush won all four games on Saturday defeating the Regina Bobcats Orange 6-1, Estevan Voltz 12-1, Standing Buffalo Fighting Sioux 2-1, and the Regina Bobcats Blue 5-2. Sunday saw us defeat the Moose Jaw Mustangs 6-4. Our last round robin game was going to be against the Prince Albert Trappers, but because we were in first second and they were second and points wouldn’t change the outcome, we turned that round robin game into the gold medal game.
Pictured above are: Top row (l-r): Coaches Pat Smith, Nathan Churko, Chelsey Wilde, Rob Fehr. U10 Players (l-r): Kennan Smith, Owen Smith, Merreck Pate, Chase Fehr, Lucas Byklum, Broden Wilde, Landan Churko, Dane Hill, Blake Hill, Tawan Dick, Owen Currie. Kids and coaches are from Warman, Dalmeny, Osler, Martensville, Saskatoon. The 12 boys and 4 coaches came into a tournament with no expectations, and jelled like no other team I’ve witnessed. Warman Rush are 3 weeks into their season and are currently undefeated with 5 wins.
