A 28-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged in connection with the shooting death last weekend of a man on the Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation.
A report on the CKOM Radio website cites RCMP sources as saying Robbie Cameron was arrested Tuesday, March 29 and charged with second-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Cody Tait of Saskatoon.
Cameron appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Wednesday, March 30.
The RCMP said it believes there are additional suspects.
In a news release, the RCMP said officers from the Rosthern detachment got a call Sunday just before 6 p.m., about the shooting. Officers found an injured man on a road in the community. They tried lifesaving efforts, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
