MALE U18AAA
The Warman Wildcats U18 AAA finished the regular season with a 2-1 loss against the Regina Pat Canadians in the game played in Regina on Saturday, March 5.
They had 32 wins, 10 losses and two overtime losses to give them 66 points good enough for third place in the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League. They will be taking on the sixth place Prince Albert Mintos in round one best of five series. Dates and times TBA.
FEMALE U15AA, U18AA
In Saskatchewan AA action several teams move onto the playoffs.
In the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League both the U15 AA and U18AA Warman Wildcats finished in second place.
The U15 AA had 14 wins 8 losses and 6 ties for 34 points. In round one they defeated the South East Whitecap Goldwings 2-1, 5-3. In round two they will play the Regina Rebels. Dates and times TBA.
The U18AA team had 12 wins, 10 losses and 1 tie for 27 points. The second place finish earned them a bye for round one. In round two they will be playing the North East Aces in a best of three series. Game one is March 7 at Diamond Arena in Warman. Game two is Friday, March 11 in Tisdale. Game three if necessary is in Warman on Sunday, March 13.
MALE U13AA
The U13AA Martensville Marauders finished in first place of the Saskatoon Division with a perfect 24-0 record. They had a bye in round one. In round two they will play the Saskatoon Fury. Game one is in Martensville on March 7. Game two is at the Harold Latrace Arena in Saskatoon on March 9. Game three if needed will be in Martensville on March 10.
The Warman U13AA Wildcats’ season is over after they were swept in two straight games by the Tisdale Ramblers in the second round of the Centre Four League playoffs. Tisdale won 6-3 on Thursday, March 3 in Tisdale and 6-4 on Saturday, March 5 in Warman.
MALE U15AA
In U15AA the Martensville Marauders finished fourth in the North Division with a record of 19 wins 10 losses and 2 ties for 40 points.. They play the fifth place Saskatoon Stallions in a best of three series. Dates and times TBA.
MALE U18AA
In U18 AA the Warman Wildcats finished in second place in the Centre Four standings with 23 wins, 5 losses, 2 overtime losses and 3 ties for 51 points. This was only one point behind the first place Saskatoon Riverkings.
In round one of the Centre Four Division playoffs they defeated North East 5-3, 6-4, 4-3.
In round two they will take on the West Central Wheat Kings. The eighth place Wheat Kings proved to be giant killers as they knocked of the first place Riverkings with a pair of 5-4 overtime wins and a 6-4 win in game three.
They kept up their great play by defeating Warman 4-3 in game one played at the Legends Centre in Warman on Sunday, March 6.
The two teams were tied 2-2 after period one. Zac Fahl gave Warman an early lead with assists from Mesele Klassen and Carter Sachs. Leighton Partington had a pair for the Wheat Kings. Ben Neudorf tied it up on a shorthanded marker on a pass from Trae Lees.
In the second period Hunter Sperle and Ben Walz gave the visitors a 4-2 advantage.
After Owen Harms netted a powerplay marker with just over two minutes to play. The Wildcats pulled their goalie to try to get the equalizer. The Wheat Kings held off the onslaught and came away the big road win.
