On the night of Sunday, October 31, Corman Park Police Service (CPPS) officers set up a check stop on Township Road 360 and Range Road 3051.
In less than two hours officers had arrested three drivers for impaired driving and two other drivers for blowing a WARN.
CPPS Officers were joined by members of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Saskatoon, who handed out gifts for drivers that were being responsible and driving sober.
Also on Hallowe’en night, October 31, CPPS officers statined two vehicles at the Jemini Arena parking lot south of Saskatoon, where they handed out treats to youngsters.
In a facebook post, CPPS officers said:
“With concerns surrounding COVID-19, we understand some parents might be reluctant to allow their children to go trick or treating. We also realize some communities in the RM require driving door to door.
“This Hallowe’en, we want to give the children in our commuity a safe place to trick or treat. To help lift your spirits, Corman Park Police officers will be at the Jemini arena in the hamlet of Grasswood handing out candy. So, if you see one of our police vehicles, please come on over with your little ones for a treat.”
