Heavy equipment crews in Warman were busy June 29 and 30 grading Gord Thompson Road North and South in preparation for an application of S.P.-90 dust control. No roadwork is scheduled for Canada Day, and the road is slated to be open with a ridge down the centre. The S.P-90 coating will be applied to the road on Friday, July 2. The oil-based bonding agent is manufactured by Sands Dust Control Limited of Innisfail, Alberta. It provides the gravel road with a temporary hard surface, but it does need to be replaced every few years.
