On Friday, June 18 at approximately 11:05 p.m. while on patrol, Corman Park Police observed a van weaving on Highway 11 near Highway 305.
A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver showed signs of alcohol impairment. The driver provided a breath sample into an approved screening device, resulting in a fail. The accused was taken to Martensville detachment where the driver provided two breath samples resulting in readings of 160 mgs% and 150 mgs%.
The driver was also on a curfew, as well as conditions not to consume drugs or alcohol and was suspended from driving. The driver was held overnight and released the next day for an upcoming court date in Saskatoon.
As the province begins to re-open this summer, many are likely planning to go more places, see more people and do more things.

SGI is issuing this gentle reminder, given the results of the May Traffic Spotlight on impaired driving. For the month of May, police reported a total of 507 impaired driving offences, including 366 Criminal Code charges and 141 roadside administrative suspensions.
