The Rural Municipality of Corman Park has a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Corman Park Reeve Judy Harwood announced on Monday, June 7 that Ken Kolb has been appointed by Council as the new CAO for the RM.

Kolb takes over from Craig Clements, Director of Finance, who has done very well acting as Chief Administrative Officer.

In a news release, Harwood said Kolb is a proven leader with more than 25 years of combined provincial and municipal government experience, with his most recent position being the Town Manager for the Town of White City, which he has occupied for the past 5 years.

Kolb also brings a wealth of experience from his previous executive roles with the provincial government. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration as well as a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of Regina.

“Given the complexity and multi-faceted nature of the CAO role, Council must carefully select the right person with the right combination of skills,” said Harwood in the news release.

“This is important, as the CAO is considered a leader and change agent that guides the daily operations and direction of the municipality. On behalf of Council, staff and the residents of Corman Park, I am excited to welcome Ken as CAO of our municipality. Ken brings superior leadership qualities and a forward-thinking approach, and we look forward to working with him.”

Kolb, for his part is looking forward to serving the community of Corman Park.

“I am excited to work with staff and Council, and to use my knowledge and leadership skills to continue advancing the strategic priorities of the municipality,” said Kolb.

Moving with his family, Kolb’s first official day will be August 9, 2021.
