Warman Fire Department was called to assist Saskatoon Fire Department battle a wildfire along 71st Street in Saskatoon on Monday afternoon, April 26.
A column of thick black, grey and white smoke can be seen rising high into the air over Saskatoon. Strong westerly winds are fanning the blaze.
The fire, which began about 3:00 p.m., is in an open area between Millar Avenue and Burron Avenue in Saskatoon. Traffic restrictions are currently in place in the area. Police have blocked traffic at the intersection of Wanuskewin Road and Highway 11.
Warman Fire Department dispatched a full crew along with a wildfire bush truck and a pumper-tender to assist Saskatoon Fire Department.
