Drew Anderson and Hudson Thiessen of the Warman Wildcats try to beat the Saskatoon players to the puck during a U15 AA contest at the Legends Centre

The U15 AA Wildcats recently battled the Saskatoon Bandits in back-to-back games, resulting in a win and a loss.

Warman earned a 5-4 overtime win on November 21 in Saskatoon and then following day, the Wildcats dropped a 6-4 decision at the Legends Centre in Warman.

In the first game, between the Wildcats and Bandits, Saskatoon had a 1-0 lead after the first period.

The Bandits netted two straight goals in the middle frame to take a 3-0 lead.

However, in the final six minutes of the period, the Wildcats got hot offensively which led to four unanswered goals.
Abinet Klassen, Riley Ashe, Brock Evans and Carsyn Dyck were the respective goal scorers for Warman.

Saskatoon ended up scoring late in the third period to force overtime. The Wildcats began the extra period on a power-play and Carsyn Dyck netted one with the man advantage to give his team the win.

In the second game at the Legends Centre, Saskatoon again jumped out to the early lead after netting two goals in the opening two minutes.

Warman was able to answer back after Brock Evans lit the lamp to pull his team within one goal.

The Wildcats ended up getting in to some penalty trouble and Saskatoon scored two power-play goals to take a 4-1 lead going in to the second period.

The Wildcats continued to battle in the middle frame as Liam Bursaw and Riley Ashe both found the back of the net. But the Bandits also scored two goals and Saskatoon led 6-3 after 40 minutes of play.

Evans netted his second goal of the contest early in the period, and the Wildcats had a realistic chance to make a comeback, but the Bandits buckled down defensively and hung on for the win.

The Wildcats are scheduled to play a road game against the Saskatoon Outlaws on November 28. The two teams will meet again at the Legends Centre the following day.
