The following is the occurrence summary for September 14 – 21.

On September 15  at 9:15 p.m., Corman Park Police observed a white Nissan Altima travelling westbound on Beam Rd. The vehicle had its high beams on and did not dim them as it passed the police vehicle. Police stopped the Altima and found it being operated by a 24-year-old male resident of Prince Albert. A driver’s licence query indicated that the man’s licence was suspended. Police issued the man tickets for failing to dim his headlights and driving while suspended. The vehicle was impounded for thirty days.

On September 17 at 1:30 a.m., Corman Park Police observed a 2003 Chev Impala being operated westbound on Highway 16 at Winmill Road in the RM of Corman Park. At that time the vehicle was noted to be travelling 90 km/h in a posted 110 km/h zone and was weaving from side to side within the lane. The vehicle was stopped by police and was found to be operated by a 60-year-old female resident of Saskatoon. The woman denied alcohol consumption and was read a mandatory breath sample demand, to which she complied. The woman provided a sample of her breath into a roadside screening device with a result of FAIL. The woman was arrested and taken to the Saskatoon RCMP Detachment where she provided breath samples of 90 and 70 mgs%. With the second reading being under 80 mgs% she was not eligible to be charged criminally. The woman was issued a 72 hour driver’s licence suspension, her vehicle was impounded and she was given tickets for having open alcohol in a vehicle and driving while suspended.

On September 17 at 7:30 p.m. Corman Park Police received a complaint of trespassing from a rural land owner who owns land west of Saskatoon in the RM of Corman Park. The land owner advised that a neighbour had observed a vehicle, a Subaru Imprezza parked on the land and a licence plate was obtained. Police located the owner of the vehicle and determined that a young male and female had parked on the property to watch a sunset. Consistent with the request of the owner, no charges were laid and a warning was given.  No further action was taken.

On September 18  at 3:30 a.m. Corman Park Police observed a vehicle northbound on Highway 11 near Township Road 384. A Chev Silverado truck was towing a boat trailer that had no licence plate attached to it. The vehicle was stopped and a 45-year-old male resident of Saskatoon was found to be the driver. There was another man in the vehicle with the driver and they advised they were headed north to go on a hunting trip. Police asked if there were any firearms in the vehicle and the driver indicated he had possession of a rifle which belonged to a relative. Police located a rifle in the truck and determined that neither man had a Possession and Acquisition Licence to legally possess the firearm. The driver was also questioned about alcohol consumption and was read a mandatory breath demand. He provided a sample of his breath into a roadside screening device with a result of WARN. The man’s licence was suspended and his vehicle was impounded for 72 hours. The rifle was seized and turned over to the RCMP for further investigation.

On September 19 at 11:15 p.m. Corman Park Police responded to a call of a motor vehicle collision on the Clarkboro Ferry Road east of Warman. Corman Park Police and RCMP officers located a Hyundai Elantra car that had left the roadway and went over an embankment and ended up on the west shore of the South Saskatchewan River. Police located a 76-year-old male resident of Prince Albert still in the vehicle who had suffered injuries.

STARS Air Ambulance attended and transported the man to hospital with undetermined injuries that were believed to not be life threatening. RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
