One person died and four others were seriously injured in a single-vehicle rollover north of Duck Lake on Saturday, June 20.

Rosthern RCMP say the fatal incident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m.

Rosthern RCMP, Rosthern EMS and Duck Lake Fire Department responded to the scene.

RCMP say the vehicle was travelling south on Highway 783 when the driver lost control and veered off the road into the ditch on the west side of the highway and rolled several times.

All five of the occupants of the vehicle were ejected from the vehicle.

One person was transported to hospital by STARS air ambulance, three other individuals were taken to hospital by ground ambulance.

One individual was declared deceased on scene.

An RCMP Forensic Accident Reconstructionist also attended the scene.

Alcohol is considered a factor in the rollover. The police investigation is still ongoing.
