The U18 Aberdeen Flames captured the Sask Valley Minor Hockey League championship title on Saturday March 23 in Hague against the Royals. The two teams battled back and forth during the regular season with a 1-1-1 record against each other. But it was Aberdeen that came out ahead in game 2 with the 5-1 victory to go home with the hardware!
A big congratulations goes out to Aberdeen on a stellar season with a 19 wins, 1 tie and 1 loss record, as well as to their head coach Brian Jones along with assistant coaches Michael Gorniak and Grant Forsyth. The Flames also say good bye to their 8 graduating players, pictured left to right, Hudson Hauber, Jax Jones, Noah Skoworodko, Keane Campbell, Shawn Thibault, Rhett Semchyshyn and Haiden Forsyth, as well as Christian Ward who is not pictured.
