Tickets for the Telus Cup West Regional Championship tournament are now on sale.

The Warman U18AAA Wildcats are hosting the top teams from northern Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan at the Warman Home Centre Communiplex April 6-9. The winner of the tournament will advance to the U18AAA Telus Cup in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec.

Ticket packages start at $65 for all seven games. Individual game tickets are available. Premium VIP package purchasers have  a chance to meet and greet Reggie Leach.

Day One, April 6 will commence with Round Robin games.

The 5 p.m. game on Day One will feature Saskatchewan & Northern Ontario

Chief Robert Merasty will have an Opening Prayer & Blessing

The 8 p.m. game on Day One will be between the AAA Warman Wildcats & Manitoba.

‘Opening Ceremonies’ will be on the ice, with all four teams in attendance.

Star Blankets created by Jessica Moore will be presented to each team Captain, by Lillian Denton & Carlin Nordstrom.

Day Two April 7 has been designated as Indigenous Celebration, Reconciliation & Inclusion Day.

At 4 p.m. on Day Two there will be a ‘Meet & Greet’ Reggie Leach event exclusive to Premium VIP ticket packages, Dignitaries, and Telus West Committee Members. 

The 5 p.m. game on Day Two will feature Mark Okihcihtaw as Drummer/Anthem singer..

The 8 p.m. game on Day  Two will feature a puck drop with Chief Mark Arcand and Reggie Leach, Falynn Baptiste will perform the National Anthem in Cree, we will introduce players with Indigenous Ancestry who have played in the Warman Wildcat AA & AAA Programs. Starting in the 1980s with Carlin Nordstrom, & Duane VanDale, followed by Lawrence Gardipy, Brent Gardipy and Bill Cameron in the 1990s, Milton Greyeyes & Riley Gardypie, in the 2000s, Ryan Pilon and Josh Pillar in the 2010 to 2020 decade, and then 2020 onward we will invite five players from last year’s and current AAA U18 Wildcats: Mason Bueckert, Rhett Dekowny, Caden Johns, Deegan Wapass, Jaxon Herchak, and Coach Courage Bear.

Reggie Leach will be available to sign autographs during both games on April 7, there will be a Tipi (compliments of SIGA and Dakota Dunes Community Development Corporation) set up on the south concourse level for Reggie to sit at a table next to the TiPp.

Day Three, April 8,  Round Robin games continue at 12 noon, and 3 p.m. followed by the Tournament Banquet at the Brian King Centre at 7 p.m. Carlin Nordstrom is the Guest Speaker at the banquet. There will be a short power point presentation as part of his speech, we will be presenting beaded Medallions created by Margaret Larocque after Carlin’s speech, to top goalie, top forward, top defenseman, top scorer, and MVP based on round robin results.

Day Four April 9 – Championship  Game at 3 p.m.; closing ceremonies at 4:30 p.m.
