Armed robbery suspect arrested

A 19-year-old male is facing a charge of robbery following an incident at a gas station.

At approximately 2:20 p.m., August 13, 2019, Saskatoon Police received a report of an armed robbery which had just take place at a gas station at the intersection of Highways 5 and 41.

A male had entered the business, threatened the staff member with a knife and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A witness reported they were following the suspect vehicle into Saskatoon.

Officers responded and located the gray Audi sports car at the intersection of Boychuk Drive and Briarwood Road.

Officers arrested the sole occupant of the vehicle and located a knife inside. 

The staff member involved was not physically injured.
