Large stash of copper wire believed to be stolen

RCMP are asking companies that have been the target of copper wire thefts to contact police.

Since the beginning of March, 2019 RCMP detachments in the Swift Current and Morse areas have recovered several large amounts of copper wire.

In some cases the wire is identifiable via markings and labels, however, efforts to identify the owners of the copper wire have been fruitless so far.  The RCMP are asking companies and individuals that work with or own copper wire, bare and coated, to check their stock and determine if they have been the targets of theft.

If you believe you have been, please contact your local RCMP, or 310-RCMP, to make arrangements to identify your missing property.
