Suspect in stabbing incident arrested and charged

Triston Lundgren is wanted by RCMP

Melfort RCMP arrested 22-year-old Triston Lundgren, a suspect in a stabbing incident in Melfort.

On January 26, 2019, at 4:15 a.m., Melfort RCMP responded to a stabbing in Melfort. Upon arrival police discovered that an adult male had been stabbed several times in his back and neck by another adult male. The victim was taken to Melfort Union Hospital with multiple stab wounds to his back and injuries to his face. He was then transported to Royal University Hospital; his injuries are not considered life-threatening. It is alleged the suspect also assaulted an adult female that was also at the residence.

The suspect, Triston Lundgren, a 22-year-old male from the Melfort area, fled the scene before officers arrived. He was arrested in early February.
