A 25-year-old man is being treated in hospital following an break and enter and assault in Saskatoon on the weekend.
At approximately 2:40 a.m., January 5, 2019, Saskatoon Police received a report of an injured man in the 1500 block of Avenue B North. The 25-year-old victim reported that he was assaulted by two men who had broken into his home. They were armed with a handgun and a machete and demanded cash. When the man began to run from the residence he was assaulted with the machete and suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.
The two men are both described as possibly Indigenous, approximately 32 years of age and wearing bandannas over their faces. The first male is described as 6’2″ in height, 280 lbs and the second male is described as 5’6″, 150 lbs.
