Two people are in custody this morning after Saskatoon Police located a large quantity of ammunition and weapons during a traffic stop in Saskatoon.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., December 5, 2018, Patrol officers observed a suspicious vehicle driving in an alley in the 800 block of Avenue K South. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 block of Avenue K South. Police confirmed the driver had outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was subsequently taken into custody without incident. Two female passengers were also arrested. Inside the vehicle, officers located a bag full of unspent shotgun shells, a number of golf clubs, bear spray as well as a pool ball tied in a sock.
The driver, a 49-year-old Saskatoon man, is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Prohibited Possession of Ammunition, Careless Transportation of Ammunition and Breach of Undertaking.
A 23-year-old female was charged with Breach of Conditions.
A 30-year-old female was arrested on warrants and later released.
