One dead in Highway 41 crash near Wakaw

One man died after the car he was driving collided with a semi truck on Highway 41 south of Wakaw on Wednesday, November 21.

The collision occurred at 7:50 a.m. Wakaw RCMP, Cudworth Fire Department and Wakaw EMS all responded to the scene.

Initial investigation has determined a westbound semi truck hauling crusher dust collided with an eastbound car.

The adult male driving the semi was not injured, but the adult male that was driving the car was declared deceased at the scene by EMS.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.

The RCMP investigation is still ongoing in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service. A Forensic Reconstructionist was on scene and the road was closed in both directions for several hours
