Mayors place wager on NLL championship final

The stakes just got higher for the NLL Finals beginning this Saturday, May 26 at SaskTel Centre. As the Saskatchewan Rush face-off against the Rochester Knighthawks on the floor, there will be another battle off the floor.

Mayor Charlie Clark of Saskatoon and Mayor Lovely A. Warren of Rochester have announced a friendly wager on the series. The losing team’s Mayor must wear the jersey of the winning team to a City Council meeting.

The Rush are meeting the Knighthawks in the NLL Finals for the second time in franchise history. After a bitter defeat last season, Saskatchewan will be battling for a third league title.
