Sask teams edged out at Allan Cup

Both Saskatchewan teams at the Allan Cup national championship tournament in Rosetown were eliminated from the playoff picture on Thursday, April 12.
The Bethune Bulldogs lost 3-2 to the Stoney Creek Generals of Alberta, and the Rosetown Redwings dropped a 6-4 decision to the Elsipogtog Hawks.
Brennan Bosch of Martensville was in the lineup for the Bethune Bulldogs at the tournament. He scored two goals in the team’s first two games, both of which ended in ties.
The Allan Cup semi-final games are slated for Friday, April 13, Stoney Creek goes up against the South East Prairie Thunder at 4 p.m., while the Lacombe Generals play Elsipogtog at 8 p.m..
The winners of both semi-final games clash in the championship game slated for Saturday, April 14 at 8 p.m.
The Allan Cup is Canada’s national amateur hockey championship.
