Sask Party leadership hopefuls coming to Warman

The Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce is hosting a luncheon featuring Sask Party leadership candidates on January 17 in Warman

Four of the six candidates running for the leadership of the Saskatchewan Party have been confirmed to attend a luncheon organized by the Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce (PSCC) in Warman on Wednesday, January 17.
PSCC Executive-Director Jamie Malmgren said candidates Alanna Koch, Tina Beaudry-Mellor, Ken Cheveldayoff and Gordon Wyant have indicated they will be attending the event. She is optimistic the other two candidates, Scott Moe and Rob Clarke, will also be confirmed in the near future.
Malmgren said the regional chamber of commerce felt it was important for business owners and residents to hear from candidates that are running to be the next Premier of Saskatchewan.
“We reached out to the candidates, and they were thrilled to come out to our region and meet with our members and the public at large,” said Malmgren in an interview on Tuesday, December 5.
“The format of the event is still being finalized, but there will definitely be an opportunity for people to ask questions of the candidates and to meet them on a one-on-one basis.”
Malmgren said the eagerness of the candidates to accept the chamber’s invitation shows both the importance of the region to the provincial economy, and the credibility of the newly-amalgamated chamber.
The former Warman and Martensville Chambers of Commerce merged recently to form the fifth largest Chamber of Commerce in the province.
Malmgren said the luncheon will take place at the Legends Centre in Warman. There is an admission charge, since as we all know, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Tickets for the event, which is open to the public, may be purchased from the Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce.
