Two men arrested after Delisle thefts

Two people are facing numerous theft charges after being arrested earlier this month.
On the morning of Friday, August 11, the Delisle-Warman RCMP received a complaint from some observant residents of Delisle who had noticed their friend’s truck, which had been stolen the previous day, was being driven around in the community .
The stolen truck was located outside of a residence in the community of Delisle and the driver of it subsequently arrested for possession of stolen property.
Further investigation by the Delisle-Warman RCMP resulted in a Search Warrant being executed at the residence where one more person was arrested for possession of stolen property. Recovered during the Search Warrant was approximately $36,000 worth of stolen property, including two construction site GPS units and various tools that had been stolen from the area. Saskatchewan men’s softball team wins Canada Games silver

Team Sask won a silver medal at the Canada Games in Winnipeg

Saskatchewan’s men’s softball team won a silver medal at the 2017 Canada Games in Winnipeg in early August.
The all-star squad rolled through the round-robin games with an undefeated record to qualify for the playoffs. An 8-7 win over Quebec in the semi-final on Friday, August 4, put Saskatchewan into the gold medal game against Ontario.
The championship bout was a rematch of an earlier quarter-final game in which Saskatchewan lost 11-1 to Ontario.

Pedestrian killed on Highway 7 near Vanscoy

At approximately 1:10 a.m. on Saturday June 17, Warman/Delisle RCMP responded to a call on Highway 7, approximately  two kilometers east of Vanscoy of a collision between an SUV and a female pedestrian. The pedestrian died as a result of the collision.

An RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene where the highway was shut down and traffic rerouted for a period of time during investigation. The highway has since been reopened.

The matter is still under investigation.
