Rush Hulk banned from Calgary Roughnecks home game

A decision has been made, that has left one Hulk mad. Saskatchewan Rush Superfan, Kelvin “Rush Hulk” Ooms will not be allowed inside the Scotiabank Saddledome this Saturday, January 27th wearing his infamous Hulk costume.
Kelvin Ooms (alias the Rush Hulk) with a busload of fans at the Saddledome in Calgary last year.

The 2nd Annual Hulk Rush Road Trip will see over 220 Rush fans board 4 buses, and make the round-trip from Saskatoon to Calgary this weekend. Proceeds from the Hulk Rush Road Trip have been donated to KidSport. With hundreds more Rush fans who have purchased tickets to the game, there is expected to be a strong Saskatchewan presence in Calgary Saturday evening.

“Rush Hulk” is a tremendous ambassador for the Saskatchewan Rush organization and fanbase. Rush players, coaches, and front office staff fully support the “Rush Hulk” in all that he does for the community. An unofficial mascot of the team, “Rush Hulk” brings spirit, joy, and excitement to any event he attends.

While the decision is disappointing for many in Rush Nation, now is the time to unite and rise above it. The Saskatchewan Rush encourage fans to be louder and prouder than ever before, as they cheer on their team in opposition territory. Make a statement, and let us show Calgary why Saskatchewan sports fans are truly the greatest in the world.

Safety is the number one priority for all fans attending Calgary Roughnecks vs. Saskatchewan Rush, this Saturday, January 27th at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Rush organization urges fans of both teams, to have fun and be courteous with one another.
